It was not however till1992 at 25 years, 2 years after leaving college when I started living on my own that my earnest interest in dogs and birds was re-ignited, thanks to my wife Mary who equally loves animals and has attended a middle level training college in animal production and general agriculture. Together we began a poultry project and bought our first dog, Simba which was a GSD cross. He lived and gave us good company and remained a treasure in our home till he was knocked down in 1996 by a speeding car as he was crossing the road to receive us.       

When I met Mr. Kiuna, a renowned breeder and trainer in 1998 my interest went through the roof! He had wonderful German Shepard Dogs. We bought from him 2 female puppies, daughters of Hero who at one time was a champion at the East African Kennel Club shows. Together with Peter Odie of Collindel Security Ltd, they introduced me to the East African Kennel Club where am now a member.
